<strong>Followup</strong>
The Spam Burner worked great in our testing environment. Over a test period of 90 days, we performed intense testing on the system and incurred a great deal of success, including 88.4% of spam being accurately identified as spam, and blocked.

We rolled out the Spam Burner to production servers this past Thursday, where we found it did not perform nearly as well as it did in our testing environment - specifically, because it acts as an SMTP gateway, it was not able to keep up with the realistic demands our Clients have.

As of this update, we have pulled the Spam Burner from production and have reverted to SpamAssassin. We had originally moved FROM SpamAssassin due to a massive amount of complaints over the years, of it not blocking spam very well. We are working on solving this by writing our own connector which will give SpamAssassin the ability to learn from spam and become better at its job with time, much like how the Spam Burner was designed.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused you.

What we thought was great was that when Phirefast was being attacked, our website never went down. But when Twitter was attacked, we couldn't post on Twitter for days. Phirefast was great!
