How do I transfer a domain name to a new Domain Registrar?

Transferring a domain name can be a long process, but if done with care and knowledge, it can be simple and easy.

1) Unlock your domain name through your CURRENT Domain Registrar's control panel
2) Get the "Domain Transfer Key" from your CURRENT Domain Registrar
3) Initiate the transfer with your NEW Domain Registrar, entering the Domain Transfer Key when prompted to do so.
4) You will receive several emails, both from your CURRENT and NEW Registrar. You will need to approve the transfer with the NEW (and possibly the old as well) Domain Registrar(s).
